Entelligent is positioning itself to be the leading data provider for ESG integration of smart climate strategies. We plan to publish a series of Smart Climate indexes as well as to sell the underlying data to institutional investors through license agreements. 

Position Summary - Quantitative Analyst 

Develop and test methods of assessing or measuring corporate performance in terms of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. Investigate methods for financial analysis to create mathematical models used to develop enhanced ESG data and analytics.


  • Develop an understanding of the existing forecast model
  • Communicate effectively the outputs and drivers of the forecast model
  • Maintain forecast databases and processes
  • Conduct independent and creative quantitative research applied to understanding and modeling Smart Climate related products
  • Perform econometric-based forecasting, economic reasoning, and quantitative analysis
  • Determine the need for changes to existing models and strategies
  • Update model calibration and conduct model validation
  • Document models and analytic products/tools for external client and internal analyst usage
  • Implement data mining techniques to leverage databases for use in a variety of products/tools
  • Provide quantitative support for various analytic-based research projects, both for internal initiatives and external clients
  • Maintain and modify all analytic models in use.
  • Define or recommend model specifications or data collection methods.
  • Devise or apply independent models or tools to help verify results of analytical systems.
  • Produce written summaries of research results.
  • Interpret results of analytical procedures.
  • Write requirements documentation for use by software developers.
  • Identify, track, or maintain metrics for Smart Climate index related data and products
  • Develop core analytical capabilities or model libraries, using advanced statistical, quantitative, or econometric techniques.

Education and Experience

  • A MBA or MS degree in economics, statistics, math, or finance.
  • Strong understanding of econometrics, regression analysis, quantitative methodologies, applied statistical analysis, and forecasting.
  • Excellent analytic and programming skills in languages such as - Excel, SQL, VBA, Stata, R.
  • Past financial forecasting experience would be a plus.


  • Ability to extract, aggregate and prepare data for analysis.
  • Ability to communicate ideas, both written and verbally.
  • Follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff.
  • Ability to think and act strategically and proactively.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills.
